  • Carry out hot extrusion processing of magnesium alloys, including billet preparation, extrusion parameter optimization, and post-extrusion microstructure evaluation.
  • Optimize melting, casting, extrusion, and secondary processing routes to improve material homogeneity, mechanical properties, and surface quality.
  • Perform microstructural characterization using optical microscopy, SEM, EBSD, and XRD to study grain refinement, texture evolution, and phase distribution.
  • Execute mechanical testing (tensile, hardness, formability) to evaluate extruded and TRC-processed magnesium products.
  • Analyze process–structure–property relationships to enhance strength, ductility, corrosion resistance, and formability of magnesium alloys.
  • Support production troubleshooting and quality control, identifying defects such as segregation, cracks, porosity, and surface defects.
