Additional Information

International Background

On top of very Korean based education and career, I have traveled a lot during my youth. Was born in UK, stayed in Germany for about a year as a baby and studied abroad during my middle and high school period, travelling countries to countries. This is how I became a fluent English speaker and thanks to that, I had the privilege to serve in US Army for my mandatory military service and work in International companies throughout my career.

While I was working in LG, I had to visit Netherlands for ISE(B2B exhibition), annually, setting LG booth as well as hosting introduction keynotes as well. In addition, I traveled to China, India, UK, USA, Costa Rico, Singapore, Macau and other countries to host roadshows or showrooms in the regions and setting up customized partnership program.

I had the luck to work with Ben in the early stage in Blizzard and co-work with HQ people in Irvine and my counterparts in other regions. I had no issues working in English with international mindset which now, expanded my role to cover not only KR but also TW and HK as well.

"Story Telling"

The biggest learning I had from adjusting myself to new environments is the importance of "Story Telling". I believe "Story Telling" is the game changer in making decisions and making successful plans. These days, it is empowered by data analysis, making the story even more impactful and persuasive, delivering right messages and facts which I find tasks and results more expected and secured.

I expect the same from my colleagues, reports, my managers and eventually from the company that I work for as well. I firmly believe data based story telling will make a team aligned to perform with optimized level of understanding tasks.

People and Family

In the end, it's the people that matters the most. I have always been trying to listen to others and think in others' shoes. This made me to understand others' more embedded, leading me to fully digest circumstances and come up with ultimate solutions. This attitude helped me to be nominated "Junior Board" and "Way2Play" hero in LG and Blizzard, respectively, which were side jobs to listen to others concerns, either personal or work-related and consult them with something they can start with. This let me to bond with my colleagues and seldom invited them to my house as a family.

These are the three aspects of myself that I think you would be interested in regardless to where I am from and what I have done.

It is truly great to look back on myself and elaborate on what I have done and what I put values on.
