I am excited to apply for the position of kindergarten teacher. Since earning my qualification as a state-certified educator in 2019, I have developed a strong background in social-pedagogical work. My previous roles include working in trauma-focused residential care, a therapeutic daycare center, and supervised foster care, where I supported children aged 0 to 6. In these roles, I focused on fostering emotional and social development, while also working to enhance language acquisition, especially for children from diverse backgrounds. One of my most rewarding experiences was teaching German to Ukrainian refugee children in Germany, where I not only supported their language development but also helped them integrate into their new environment. My commitment to social-pedagogical work is further reflected in my involvement with the Scouts, where I developed leadership and team-building skills while working with children from diverse backgrounds by executing trips all over Europe, so the student scouts could get into the culture. This experience has reinforced my belief in the importance of a holistic approach to education, where academic learning is critically intertwined with emotional, social, and cultural growth. Currently, I am working in South Korea, teaching children aged 3 to 7 years at a language school and a kindergarten, where I teach both German and English. This experience has sharpened my intercultural competence and given me a deep understanding of how to engage children from various cultural backgrounds. My approach focuses on fostering emotional and social development through a blend of play-based learning and structured language instruction, ensuring that every child feels valued and understood, which I believe is essential in an international, multicultural classroom setting. Though I haven’t taught the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, I am familiar with its highly regarded reputation in education. I have a proven ability to adapt quickly to new curricula and teaching methods, and my experience in fostering inclusive learning environments and delivering effective language instruction ensures I can contribute meaningfully to your team. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my passion for multicultural education, language teaching, and social-pedagogical work.
