With over a decade of hands-on experience in retail and café operations, I have built a strong foundation in efficient store management, customer service excellence, and team coordination. I have been responsible for end-to-end operations, including store supervision, inventory and raw materials control, staff training, and implementing service quality improvements to enhance both productivity and customer satisfaction.
One of the cafés I managed was located on the first floor of a company-owned building. Through proactive branding, strategic sales planning, and creative menu development, I was able to significantly increase revenue—ultimately contributing to a 15% increase in the property's asset value. This experience taught me that successful operations go beyond day-to-day management and can directly impact corporate value.
In addition, I have worked in the company’s business development and investment strategy teams, engaging in sales data analysis, business planning, and project-based investment strategy. These roles helped me sharpen my analytical mindset and understand how to balance cost efficiency with operational performance.
Academically, I graduated from high school in Texas and pursued Marketing at the University of Texas at Tyler. Prioritizing practical experience, I returned to Korea and started my career through an internship at a Dongyang Group affiliate. I later completed military service as an English-Korean interpreter at the DMZ, working with UN forces and developing my communication and cross-cultural skills.
I’ve also participated in multiple branding projects for car washes, gyms, and cafés, managing logo and interior design with a focus on brand identity. These experiences have given me insight into the importance of spatial planning and emotional connection within a store environment.
I am deeply aligned with Blue Bottle’s philosophy of delivering authentic coffee experiences and thoughtful customer engagement. With my background in store operations, branding, and multilingual communication, I’m confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to Blue Bottle’s team and culture.
Throughout my career in café and business operations, I have developed and demonstrated several key competencies:
