• Ventilators, CRRT, infusion pumps, EKGs, various drainage tubes(chest tube,PCD,PTBD,PTGBD) and dressing management are still in use and being managed. In the integrated ICU, care for patients from all departments and respond quickly to emergencies, providing the best possible care for patients.

worked as a Tuberculosis (TB) Control Nurse to provide effective TB management, as TB is a nationally designated infectious disease in South Korea. educated TB patients on treatment and medications, and participated in the Private-Public Mix (PPM) TB management program, contributing to improved treatment success rates and reduced mortality. Additionally, I was responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and medication management of TB patients, as well as improving management indicators.

worked in the COVID-19 department of a government public health department. Due to South Korea's proximity to China and its high population density, the impact of COVID-19 was significant. In such a situation, I felt a strong desire to help the public as a nurse, which led me to join this department.

My responsibilities included monitoring the health of high-risk COVID-19 patients, providing guidance on in-person and remote medical consultations, coordinating with local hospitals, and advising on testing for confirmed cases and their contacts. Additionally, I provided education on isolation protocols, isolation periods, and the release from isolation for confirmed patients.

In the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak, the importance of diagnosing confirmed cases was critical. The task of diagnosing through PCR test results was challenging, and many people were reluctant to take on this responsibility. However, I always wanted to be someone who could help others. Working in Level D protective gear was physically demanding, but I felt a great sense of pride knowing I was contributing to the nation and society, and helping those in need. After completing testing duties, I participated in epidemiological investigations in the afternoons, further contributing to the public health efforts. Every time I realized my expertise was making a difference, I felt a deep sense of fulfillment.

This hospital has a total of 969 beds, and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is divided into two sections to provide patient care(MICU/SICU). The integrated Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) cares for all surgical patients, including those from cardiothoracic, neurosurgical, orthopedic surgery, and general surgery departments. I worked full-time in the SICU, which consists of 24 beds.

• Provided nursing care to high-risk patients, including those undergoing open-heart surgery, liver and kidney transplantation, and those with Grade 1 (Level 1) trauma, ensuring comprehensive monitoring, post-operative care, and effective management of complex medical conditions, including the administration of immunosuppressive therapy.
• Utilized advanced equipment (ventilators, infusion pumps, hemodynamic monitors) for continuous patient assessment and timely interventions. Responded to emergent conditions with critical thinking.
• Provided advanced life support (intubation, CPR) during code blue situations and delivered critical care for ICU patients, including medication and pain management.
• Operated life-support equipment (ventilators, CRRT, ECMO) to maintain optimal conditions, monitoring vital signs and initiating interventions for high-risk patients.
• Managed wound care, changed dressings, and monitored multiple patients, ensuring high-quality treatment and improved outcomes.
