I am writing to apply as the program coordinator for IES Abroad. As a program coordinator, I
would bring my communication, ownership and problem-solving skills to assist the team's needs
and make sure the operation process in the programs run smoothly as well. In addition, I would
make sure the students feel supported in their programs and I would make sure the programs
run smoothly. Moreover, my international background gives me cross-functional skills that are
needed for a fast-paced environment. I believe my customer service minded and detailed yet
multitasked personality will fit as the position as the program coordinator at IES Abroad.
My previous experience at Smart CMS helped me develop problem-solving skills. I was
responsible for making sure more than 60 CEOs attended a game event hosted by the Smart
CMS. I communicated with each of the CEOs via phone calls and emails by listening carefully
and solving their inquiries, such as finding out the unexpressed needs and negotiating to
provide the best solutions for the clients. I also used my linguistic skills to overcome cultural
barriers and distinguish how to speak at different times. I would like to use my language and
problem-solving skills to understand the needs of the team and the students. Also, I would make
sure the communications between different teams are addressed well and so that the students
are updated with any information. I would also like to make sure the team and the students are
well supported.
Furthermore, I have strong ownership of my work. Whilst working as an administrator at Yonsei
University, I was in charge of making a new contract at Coursera for Yonsei's new educational
business platform. This required negotiation with Coursera as well as constant communication
with Coursera's legal team and director of Coursera Asia division. I was also responsible for the
content management of Yonsei's new platform. My detail-oriented personality helped me identify
which contents were missing and which needed uploading. My role included constant reporting
to the upper management and communication with Coursera for any updates.
At Hill + Knowlton (Synergy), I used my creativity to make brands appealing on the online
platforms including Youtube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. I was responsible for putting up
images and contents, as well as managing consumers' needs and responding to consumers'
feedback. I developed marketing ideas to promote LG G8X to the advertising company. I drafted
2-3 advertising stories and planned out marketing campaign events as part of my project. This
required cross-collaboration skills with the marketing, advertising team. I consistently
communicated with my team members and most of all, focused on the LG client's needs so that
their ideas and inquiries are fulfilled through our team. I would like to fulfill any uncertain
inquiries that come up in the team and make sure the programs are communicated well. In
addition, as a program coordinator, I would make sure any member or potential student
member coming into our program would feel welcomed, well informed and excited about the
program. In addition, I would make sure their needs are addressed well and so that the program
runs smoothly.
I strongly believe that my dream of connecting people of different countries aligns closely with
understanding how the language is smooth and is conveyed so that there are no cultural
barriers between translated documents. My experience at Turkey, Kuwait and Egypt for 18
years has given me the flexibility in both language and culture to operate successfully in many
different contexts, as this required speaking in English, French and Arabic, in addition to
Korean.
Through my experience at Smart CMS, Yonsei University, and Hill + Knowlton (Synergy), I used
my communication skills in both written and verbal are necessary for the position as an editor
and proofreader. In addition, I am confident that I can bring my skills to best fit and make sure I

I was privileged to have been born in Turkey thanks to my father's occupation, which was a Taekwondo National Team Coach for Turkey, Kuwait, and Egypt.
