Work History

Battery Materials R&D Intern

FLUX Inc.
Cheonan-si
07.2026 - 08.2026
  • Conducted technical research on lithium-metal, zinc-metal, anode-free, and other next-generation battery-anode technologies.
  • Analyzed PVD-based metal-anode manufacturing processes, competing technologies, companies, and relevant market trends.
  • Supported internal battery-anode R&D through literature review, technical data organization, and research-related assistance.
  • Gained practical insight into the progression of battery-material technologies from research and process development to product validation, commercialization, and scale-up.

Undergraduate Research Intern

SPARK Laboratory, POSTECH
Pohang-si
06.2026 - 07.2026
  • Fabricated silicon-based composite electrodes using LPSCl and solid polymer electrolytes.
  • Assembled all-solid-state half-cells with CVD-derived silicon and silicon–polymer composite anodes.
  • Compared ionic and electronic conductivity in different solid-electrolyte and composite-electrode systems.
  • Conducted literature reviews on silicon anodes, solid polymer electrolytes, and all-solid-state battery interfaces.

Undergraduate Researcher Intern

AMEE Laboratory, POSTECH
Pohang-si
01.2026 - 06.2026
  • Conducted research on Li-rich layered and disordered rock-salt cathode materials for next-generation high-energy lithium-ion batteries.
  • Independently carried out a graduation research project on the structure–electrochemical property relationship of LNTMO cathodes with intermediate ordering between layered and disordered rock-salt structures.
  • Controlled structural ordering by varying calcination temperature and atmosphere, and analyzed phase formation and structural evolution using X-ray diffraction.
  • Fabricated electrodes and coin cells and evaluated capacity, reaction kinetics, voltage behavior, and cycling performance through electrochemical testing.
  • Correlated XRD and electrochemical data to assess whether intermediate ordering could combine the high capacity and kinetics of layered structures with the structural buffering and low-voltage redox behavior of disordered rock-salt structures.

Undergraduate Research Intern

EMRL Laboratory, POSTEH
Pohang-si
02.2025 - 06.2025
  • Studied cathode materials, fundamental electrochemistry, and active-material design principles for rechargeable batteries.
  • Reviewed research topics including Ni-rich cathode degradation and structural changes during thermal runaway, battery thermodynamics, sodium-ion cathodes, and density functional theory.
  • Built a foundational understanding of how crystal structure, electronic structure, and oxygen-orbital stability influence battery performance.
