I am a highly experienced maritime professional with a solid track record in both onshore ship management and onboard command roles. During my tenure at New Shipping Kaisha, Ltd., I was actively involved in operating chemical tankers on European and American routes. I was specifically responsible for overseeing Vetting Inspections, implementing TMSA (Tanker Management and Self Assessment) standards, and developing and revising company procedures to ensure alignment with international regulations and best practices. Through these assignments, I gained extensive hands-on experience in vessel operation, technical systems management, voyage planning, and crew leadership. These responsibilities provided me with a deep understanding of global shipping operations and sharpened my ability to make practical, safety-conscious decisions in complex environments.
From 2011 to 2021, I served as Team Manager of the Safety and Quality Department at New Shipping Kaisha, Ltd., where I oversaw comprehensive ship management functions, including ISM/ISPS compliance, audit coordination, and fleet safety monitoring. This role equipped me with a strong operational foundation, a high level of regulatory awareness, and valuable cross-departmental coordination skills.
Since 2021, I have returned to sea service as Captain with New Shipping Korea Co., Ltd., where I continue to strengthen my leadership in navigation and ship command. As Master, I take full responsibility for the vessel’s safe operation, efficient voyage execution, crew performance, and external communications with charterers, agents, and regulatory authorities. These experiences have further enhanced my capability to lead multicultural crews, respond effectively to emergencies, and ensure seamless day-to-day operations in a dynamic maritime environment.
