Work History

Undergraduate Research Intern

Institute For Basic Science CNM
07.2021 - 08.2022
  • Worked on in vivo neuromodulation research project
  • Conducted behavioral assays with mice models and collect data and analysis using EthoVision XT software.
  • Performed immunohistochemical analysis for brain slice analysis
  • Conducted cellular experiments, and collect and analyze data using imaging techniques (e.g., confocal microscopy)
  • Assisted in preparation of research paper, posters, and presentations

Undergraduate Research Intern

Chemical Genomics Lab
06.2020 - 07.2020
  • Gained hands-on experience with cutting-edge laboratory equipment and techniques to enhance experimental outcomes.
  • Gathered, arranged, and corrected research data to create representative graphs and charts highlighting results for presentations.
  • Maintained detailed lab notebooks documenting all experimental procedures, observations, and analyses conducted throughout the internship period.
  • Developed technical expertise in various proteomics assays for novel small molecule discovery research.

Education

Master of Science - Nano Biomedical Engineering

Yonsei University
Seoul
04.2001 -

Bachelor of Science - Biotechnology

Yonsei University
Seoul, South Korea
04.2001 -

Skills

  • In vivo behavior studies and analysis, using mice

  • In vitro cell studies involving different cell types

  • MATLAB and Python coding for neural, cardiac, and other signal analysis

  • Immunohistochemical and immunocytochemical analysis involving confocal spectroscopy imaging

  • Data analysis using ImageJ, LasX, EthoVision, Microsoft office, Adobe application, such as Premiere Pro and Illustrator

Field of Research

I am currently researching non-invasive and wireless modality for neuromodulation using magneto-mechano-genetics (MMG). It utilizes nano-scale magnetic particle as a novel approach for neural modulation, that allows for wireless and tether-free in vivo neuromodulation study
