- I was responsible for the operation and management of the boiler at Daehan Paper Company. My role involved generating energy used in the factory and developing plans to optimize usage and reduce costs. Since I operated a waste incineration boiler, I monitored the amount and condition of the reject material to maintain the necessary temperature in the incinerator. I calculated how much reject material to input per hour and regularly checked the thermometer, using a computer program to ensure smooth operation without any issues.
- I operated the steam turbine to produce electricity from the steam generated by the boiler, ensuring that power was supplied efficiently throughout the factory. I monitored the amount of steam needed for drying paper and checked the pressure of the turbine to prevent it from stopping. This involved inspecting the site for steam line leaks and checking the turbine's RPM to ensure everything was functioning properly.
- In the water supply line, I measured the turbidity of water drawn from the river and sent the data to the research team. I used various chemicals and materials to ensure that the water was purified and free of contaminants before it was used in the factory. I also checked for blockages or leaks in the piping, performing temporary fixes through welding or repairing issues with valves and sensors using specialized equipment.
- To prevent temperature fluctuations in the boiler, I monitored the calorific values of wood chips, RP, and RD to maintain consistent temperatures, scheduling and ordering the necessary quantities accordingly. I conducted maintenance once or twice a month, addressing any issues that arose due to aging machinery, and coordinated with the maintenance team and contractors for larger repairs to ensure safety and minimize risks.
