KDB Foundation Volunteer Experience:
Position: Language Instructor and Volunteer Coordinator
Duration: [2017.07-2017.08]
As a volunteer at KDB Foundation, I had the privilege to teach Korean to Central Asian Korean college students using Russian as the medium of instruction. This experience not only allowed me to contribute to their language learning journey but also provided me with an opportunity to enhance my own Korean language skills.
In addition to teaching, I took on the role of a volunteer coordinator, where I was responsible for organizing classes, providing guidance to students, facilitating translation between Korean and Russian, and assisting with assignments. This multifaceted role helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility and leadership skills as I took charge of coordinating various aspects of the volunteer program.
Furthermore, my involvement in these activities significantly contributed to improving my proficiency in translation, as I frequently engaged in translating Korean instructions and materials into Russian for the students. Overall, my experience at KDB Foundation wasn't just about helping others, it also helped me grow. Specifically, I got better at translating, thanks to the work I did there.
