From 2006 to 2016, I lived in China and personally witnessed its remarkable economic growth and transformation. During this time, I observed how China's financial industry developed and strengthened its position on the global stage. I was particularly impressed by China Construction Bank's establishment as a leading global financial institution and its innovative financial services.
Since its founding in 1954, CCB has grown steadily to become one of the world's premier banks. The Seoul branch, established in 2004, plays a crucial role as a bridge for economic cooperation between Korea and China. I believe the role of Secretary and HR Officer at such a global financial institution is vitally important.
Through my experience in Huawei's HR team, I gained deep understanding of Chinese corporate culture and internal system operations. My tenure at the National Assembly and my degree in Public Administration equipped me with strong administrative skills, including report writing and data analysis.
I am eager to contribute my skills and experience to CCB's global vision and growth strategy. Given the opportunity to join the Seoul branch, I will dedicate myself fully to my role.
Strengths and WeaknessesI have a calm personality and strong multitasking abilities. My ability to focus and work efficiently has been consistently recognized. At Huawei, I managed visa documentation for dozens of employees simultaneously while handling administrative tasks like attendance and expenses for dispatched staff.
While I tend to be reserved with new people, my experiences—hosting live economics broadcasts for students, visa consultations with Chinese employees at Huawei, and planning external events at the National Assembly—have helped me develop a warm and approachable demeanor in professional settings.
I prioritize building trust and take responsibility seriously. At Huawei, I questioned the conventional practice of simply emailing visa requirements to employees and waiting for responses. When the task became my responsibility, I personally visited each employee to assist with their documentation. I made myself available after hours and on weekends to accommodate time zone differences. My approach earned high praise from employees and helped them transition smoothly into their roles in Korea.
As a secretary and HR officer, I will support both executives and employees with the same dedication and warmth.
Core CompetenciesTo excel in this role, I have developed:
1. Communication Skills
At Huawei, I redesigned HR processes to comply with Korean labor laws using the LWMS system. I collaborated closely with the IT team, created visual guides, and held regular video conferences to ensure clarity. My "clear and complete in one go" approach will be valuable at CCB Seoul.
2. Data Analysis & Reporting
At the National Assembly, I managed SNS content, produced monthly activity reports, and analyzed public engagement data to tailor communication strategies. I also prepared audit inquiries and reports, gathering data from relevant agencies. These skills will translate well to HR data analysis and reporting at CCB.
3. Chinese Proficiency
With 10 years in China and HR experience at Huawei, I have strong business Mandarin skills. I participated in bilingual interviews and handled Chinese documentation. This will facilitate smooth communication between CCB Seoul and headquarters.
Upon joining, I will focus on mastering my responsibilities, no matter how small. Once comfortable, I will proactively seek new challenges, as I did at Huawei, expanding from visa management to recruitment and event planning within months.
Ultimately, I aim to become a strategic HR professional who supports CCB's business direction. I will study internal materials to deepen my understanding of the bank's goals and values.
