Summary

My parents were deported from Far East to Uzbekistan in 1937, I grew up in a small village near Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, entered an institute in 1977 and graduated with engineer diploma. Did different jobs and retired in 2017.

When I was young I got interested in programming, just like a hobby, never made a penny as a programmer.

Now as a retired man, I decided to start a new career as a programmer.

I had to revise my almost forgotten skills in programming, learned some new stuff and now I've been developing my own website ults.uz, with the purpose to help people who want to learn languages.

The site can clearly show my skills in website development, that I've been building all by myself.

I am open for employment and I am sure my skills as well as my whole experience can be really valuable for my employer.

The site I'm developing is about learning languages .

Although the site is on the stage of development, the Alphabet section with 13 learnable alphabets and the Words section with 15 lessons in 5 languages are available and worth to have a look.

There, I try to make the brain work active and ready to learn new material and make the learning material digestible for the brain as easier as possible, using almost every technics highly experienced teachers use in their classrooms.

For example, in the Alphabet section there is a tool that let you build the current list of letters you want to learn by selecting them, leaving others out for a while, so you decide how many letters to study and which letters are in or out. Now, you can select problematic or hard to learn letters and work with them separately from others. It can be done in an easy and convenient way.

Another feature is the possibility to randomize or shuffle the letters so you never know which letter appears after which. If they come up orderly, initially they do, your fingers get used to that order and it may become a bit distracting.

Highlighting the current letter, very helpful at the beginning, later may have negative impact on learning but luckily you can turn it on or off any time you want.

Two more features which really worth to mention, are “Look and respond” and “Listen and respond”. They are widely used in real classrooms because of their high effectiveness and so I implemented them in the site.

I think this is all I wanted to say."
