My educational journey wasn't straightforward. Without parental guidance, I was left to navigate my own path to success amidst adversity. In the Philippines, I endured bullying and loneliness, striving not merely to pass school but also to avoid a broader failure in life.
Upon moving to the United States for high school, I found myself unprepared for the rigors of a college preparatory environment. Challenges pursued me, and initially, I had no one to turn to for support. However, the environment here was different; people were willing to help, a concept foreign to me. Their kindness enabled me to improve my grades significantly, eradicating any failing marks. My objective became not just to endure but to excel in my educational pursuits.
My journey was fraught with personal turmoil: my parents' divorce, unsettling family dynamics, legal battles, and facing the dire emotional state of my mother. Despite these overwhelming circumstances, I never relinquished my commitment to education and personal growth.
Through these experiences, I've learned to confront and overcome adversity, continually seeking to fortify my educational foundation and leadership skills.
