Hello, my name is YUJung Lee, an applicant who approaches both patients and colleagues with a positive mindset and a warm, reassuring attitude. My greatest strengths are my attention to detail and my ability to work efficiently under pressure. While working in the hospital, I experienced a situation where multiple emergency surgeries were scheduled simultaneously, requiring me to handle surgical preparation, electronic charting, and instrument sterilization all at once. In this high-pressure situation, I remained calm, quickly prioritized tasks, and focused on ensuring patient safety at all times. As a result, all procedures were carried out smoothly without any issues, and I was recognized by my colleagues for my accuracy and efficiency. Through this experience, I developed the ability to stay composed and perform effectively even in urgent and demanding situations, which I believe is an essential competency for an operating room nurse. One of my weaknesses is that I tend to feel stressed when things do not go according to plan, as I am naturally very organized. However, through my clinical experience, I have come to understand that unexpected situations are inevitable in a hospital setting. I have learned to prioritize patient safety and teamwork over personal plans and have been actively working to become more flexible and adaptable. As a result, I am now better able to respond calmly and effectively to unforeseen circumstances. My personal interest is exploring different restaurants, which helps me relieve stress in a healthy way. Spending time with colleagues outside of work has also strengthened our communication and teamwork. This balance between work and personal life allows me to return to work with renewed focus and maintain a high level of performance. I was motivated to apply for a nursing position in Singapore after attending a recruitment fair during my senior year of university. I was particularly drawn to the opportunity to work in a multicultural environment alongside healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds, which I believe would help me grow both professionally and globally. In addition, Singapore's patient-centered care system and relatively lower nurse-to-patient ratio allow nurses to provide more attentive and focused care to each patient. I am also eager to improve my communication skills in English and Chinese while working in such an environment. To prepare for this, I attended an English conversation academy after graduation and actively practiced speaking with native instructors. I continue to improve my language skills through ongoing study. My long-term goal is to become a highly competent nurse with both strong clinical skills and effective communication abilities through my experience in Singapore. Ultimately, I aspire to participate in medical volunteer work in underserved regions around the world. During my university years, I completed approximately 200 hours of volunteer service and participated in a medical volunteer club, where I developed a strong interest in supporting underserved populations. Based on these experiences, I hope to expand my contributions beyond clinical practice and make a meaningful impact on global healthcare. I am committed to prioritizing patient safety at all times and providing high-quality nursing care through effective communication and collaboration in a multicultural environment. Thank you for your consideration.
