  • Contributed to the development of an automated wheel alignment system for Hyundai/Kia production lines by developing robot programs (Java) for KUKA R820 iiwa robots, including frame teaching, motion path generation, and torque-tuned control.
  • Developed and currently maintain a C# WinForm-based main control program for an automated production system, managing automation sequences and TCP/IP communication with four KUKA robots. The application includes an integrated UI with alarm handling, manual control, and sequence monitoring, supports PLC communication, result data logging to MS SQL, and tool integration via OpenProtocol with AtlasCopco nutrunners.
  • Tuned and optimized Atlascopco nutrunner tools (via Pset setting) for torque/RPM control, reducing detachment risk during robotic fastening in vibrating environments.
  • Designed a robot control logic that replicates operator decision-making by analyzing current Toe and Camber values and applying vehicle-specific influence ratios. Also developed an offset auto-adjustment algorithm that analyzes recent fastening deviation trends from production data (last 30 units), filters out outliers using IQR and Z-score, and applies real-time correction per vehicle model configuration.
  • Collaborated with PLC engineers to minimize Cycle Time by optimizing robotic motion and synchronization with upper-layer equipment and operators.
  • Optimized robot motion for a unique custom-built developed tool combining gripping and fastening functions, significantly reducing Toe alignment time.
  • Developed a C# WinForm-based central control application for an aircraft fuselage drilling automation system (Korean Air), integrating AMR communication (WebSocket), robot coordination (MODBUS), and Desoutter tool control (OpenProtocol). Designed the full user interface, including real-time status monitoring, logging features, and customizable manual operation sequences. Closely collaborated with robot developers by contributing motion control ideas that improved system synchronization and efficiency.
  • Built C# WinForm MES integration software for LG Innotek using a commercial SECS-GEM tool. Took ownership of scenario design, report/RCMD data structures, and communication logic by analyzing equipment behavior and working closely with MES and PLC engineers
  • Developed a custom DLL using C# and .NET Framework for a real-time, multi-camera image and body-tracking system with three Azure Kinect devices. Leveraged the cameras’ synchronized timestamps to extract and save aligned RGB frames (excluding depth) with consistent filenames. Implemented an asynchronous three-stage queue system (capture → bitmap conversion → save) per camera to ensure high-performance parallel processing. Additionally, extracted 3D joint coordinates from body tracking data and synchronized them with frame indices, enabling tightly aligned image-pose datasets for downstream deep learning applications.
  • Used Cognex VisionPro QuickBuild to calibrate robot 2D positions based on vision data.
